1. What is your relationship to this child?
Has your child been professionally diagnosed?
If no – are you interested in having an ABA (applied behavior analyst) make contact with you to answer questions and possibly set up individualized sessions?
Does your child have an IEP?
Children with neurodivergent diagnoses tend to function at a higher level when routines and schedules are in place. Are you satisfied with your ability to create this environment in your home?
Strong advocate skills are important to the success of growing your child into the most independent adult possible. Are you comfortable with your level of advocacy?
Do you need assistance with tools, strategies and functional living tips that can be used at home to meet the needs of your student (i.e. sensory diet tips)?
Has this child’s behavior ever caused a diversion or disruption in your home routine?
If so, did this behavior make you nervous?
Would assistance in understanding the language and how your input helps in the writing/revising goals, services, hours and expectations in an IEP be helpful?
If podcasts/zoom meetings were held monthly to address questions and concerns, attended by family members in similar situations – how likely are you to attend/watch?
