Mindset

SENHELP wants to provide training and support to ensure a more cohesive safety
protocol. This will result in fewer staff/student injuries and class disruptions – equating to
more time spent in an engaging learning environment.
Mindset Safety Management Curriculum will be offered to teachers, coordinators,
therapists and other administrative personnel in a 2-day workshop with a certified training certificate at the conclusion. A 6-hour refresher is mandatory every 18 months. This
program was put in place by Interventions for Behavioral Health Care and advocates this training for de-escalation and physical restraint procedures. This training is delivered by
our life coach and de-escalation specialists certified as instructors in the Mindset Safety Management Curriculum.

peace

Peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hardwork. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.”

Regular education teachers are overwhelmed and underprepared to handle the specific needs of SEN students included on their roster. SENHELP wants to assist and educate them. Tools and strategies will be introduced, practiced, and supported. Resources will be shared. The least restrictive environment can become a workable solution
